Prime Minister George Papandreou travelled to Paris on March 19 to take part in an emergency meeting of European, US and Arab leaders on the crisis in Libya.
"This meeting showed the determination of the international community, the United Nations but also the leadership of the Arab League and the Arab countries to put an end to violence which is perpetuated by the regime in Libya and to make sure that there is a ceasefire in this country" said Papandreou, adding that the international community will be now enforcing the decisions of the United Nations Security Council.
On his part, Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas said that "we are prepared to assist, in cooperation with our partners and allies, so that international legality may be respected." Source: GREEK NEWS AGENDA issued by the Secretariat Genera
