Cretan herbs museum in Hania

A unique collection of 9,000 herbs found on the island of Crete is on display in the Museum of Cretan Herbs of the Orthodox Academy of Crete, in Kolibari, Hania.

The collection is the work of a French botany professor Jacques Safran, who studied locally grown herbs since 1964. The Museum of Cretan Herbs was established following his decision to donate his collection to the Academy.
